The HVAC Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimising heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems across a range of building and infrastructure projects. This role ensures that all HVAC solutions meet performance, safety, regulatory, and sustainability requirements while supporting efficient project delivery and high‑quality engineering outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
Design & Technical Delivery
- Develop HVAC system designs, specifications, and calculations in line with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Produce detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Conduct load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Support the development of design proposals, feasibility studies, and technical reports.
Project Engineering & Coordination
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams—including mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines—to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design to commissioning and handover.
- Review contractor submissions, equipment data sheets, and installation drawings for compliance and accuracy.
- Assist in resolving technical issues during construction and commissioning phases.
Compliance, Safety & Quality
- Ensure all HVAC designs comply with relevant building regulations, industry standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, system testing, and performance verification as required.
- Support continuous improvement of engineering processes, standards, and best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clarity of requirements and smooth project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to stakeholders throughout the design and installation process.
