Systems Engineers play a key role in managing requirements and applying systems engineering processes across projects and technical disciplines. This includes eliciting, analysing, and maintaining requirements throughout their lifecycle, particularly for disposal, treatment, and waste‑packaging systems. The role also contributes to developing and embedding systems engineering processes across programmes and projects to ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery.

Job Responsibilities

Requirements Management

  • Elicit, define, and document requirements and specifications across multiple projects.
  • Maintain full lifecycle control of requirements, ensuring they remain current, approved, and aligned with the controlled knowledge base.
  • Implement and manage change control processes for requirements, specifications, and other configured items.

Systems Engineering Processes

  • Facilitate workshops and cross‑functional sessions to apply systems engineering methods and ensure shared understanding across teams.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and control of system models and technical baseline configurations for projects and programmes.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to project teams on systems engineering principles and processes.

Cross‑Functional Support

  • Work collaboratively with engineering, project, and technical teams to embed a systems engineering approach into project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of systems engineering processes, tools, and governance frameworks.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Undertake other tasks aligned with skills and experience as required to support project and programme needs.
