The Workforce Coordinator oversees Workforce Operatives from their first day on site through to project completion, ensuring they are supported, deployed effectively, and working in line with all relevant policies and procedures. Working under the guidance of the Workforce Manager, the role ensures that Workforce processes are consistently applied across the team and delivery partners, contributing to a safe, compliant, and well‑organised project environment.

Job Responsibilities

Workforce Operations & Support

  • Support the Workforce Manager across all project activities.
  • Assist with day‑to‑day Workforce operations, including onboarding activities during an operative’s first week and coordinating their placement on site.
  • Work closely with Superintendents and Supervisors to ensure full compliance with Workforce processes and policies.

Tracking, Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain the Workforce Operative Tracker, ensuring it is accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Assist in producing Workforce Operative reports as required.
  • Provide monthly Workforce metrics and insights to support planning and decision‑making.
  • Flag emerging Workforce issues or risks promptly.

Compliance, Audits & Governance

  • Support internal and external Workforce audits when required.
  • Ensure all Workforce activities align with project policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Promote and reinforce a positive Nuclear Safety Culture across the team.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Payroll team to support accurate payroll and time‑recording processes.
  • Coordinate with the Resource team to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new starters.
  • Support collaboration with HR and Learning & Development teams on Workforce‑related issues or concerns.
  • Assist with Workforce‑related change initiatives and improvement projects.
